Celebrating Our First Anniversary: A Journey Through Scent

Celebrating Cloudy Library’s first anniversary with the fragrance lovers, creators, and friends who made our first chapter possible.

One year ago, Cloudy Library began with a simple vision: to create a space where fragrance could be discovered slowly, thoughtfully, and together.

We wanted to build more than a fragrance and lifestyle select shop. We imagined a place where scent lovers could encounter distinctive brands, learn the stories behind each creation, exchange personal impressions, and find fragrances that truly resonated with them.

On September 19 and 20, 2026, that vision came to life during Cloudy Library’s first anniversary celebration, A Journey Through Scent.

For two unforgettable days, our San Gabriel store welcomed fragrance lovers, creators, media guests, friends, and members of our growing Los Angeles community. Surrounded by scent, conversation, and shared curiosity, we celebrated not only Cloudy Library’s first year, but also the community that has grown with us.

Two Days, One Shared Love for Scent

Our anniversary weekend began on September 19 with an intimate Media & Creator Day. From 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, invited guests explored the store, discovered new fragrances, created content, and shared their personal scent experiences.

The celebration continued on September 20 with our public anniversary event, welcoming guests from across Los Angeles to spend the day discovering fragrance at Cloudy Library.

Throughout the weekend, the store was filled with thoughtful conversations and the excitement of finding something new. Guests explored fragrances from more than 15 participating brands, exchanged impressions, captured anniversary memories, and connected with others through a shared love of scent.

Seeing so many people slow down, smell carefully, and talk openly about the memories and emotions inspired by fragrance was one of the most meaningful parts of the celebration.

Discovering Fragrance Together

Fragrance is deeply personal. The same scent can remind one person of a distant place, another of someone they love, and someone else of a moment they thought they had forgotten

That is why we believe fragrance becomes even more meaningful when it is experienced together.

During our anniversary celebration, guests were invited to explore the different creative worlds of the brands available at Cloudy Library. From the storytelling of SOULVENT and SCENT CHANT to the distinctive perspectives of handhandhand and to Define, every collection offered a different interpretation of scent, memory, and modern life.

Guests sampled fragrances at their own pace, selected their personal favorites, and shared the scents that stayed with them most. These conversations transformed fragrance discovery from an individual experience into something collective—an opportunity to exchange stories, perspectives, and inspiration.

It was a reminder that finding a signature scent is not always about following a trend. Sometimes, it is about encountering a fragrance that feels unexpectedly familiar or expresses something that words cannot.

Every part of the anniversary celebration was prepared as a thank-you to the people who supported Cloudy Library throughout our first year.

Guests received thoughtfully curated anniversary gift bags featuring fragrance and lifestyle surprises, including FUFUSOUL collectibles, full-size scented candles, car fragrances, perfume samples, and more.

Anniversary Polaroids captured moments from the day, while sweet treats and cream puffs added another layer of warmth to the celebration. From the products selected for the gift bags to the smallest details inside the store, each element was designed to make our guests feel welcomed, appreciated, and part of the Cloudy Library story.
